A Reflection from the Founder – The breath of spring

Lately, I’ve found myself reflecting on the quiet shift between seasons – how even after weeks of rain here in Marbella, the sun inevitably begins to return. There’s something about that first stretch of warmth, the softer light, that signals more than just a change in weather. It brings with it a certain energy – a gentle invitation to lean into spring, to embrace a sense of renewal. Naturally, this begins to find its way into how we live and design: lighter palettes, fresher textures, an abundance of flowers, and spaces that feel open, optimistic, and alive.

In the studio, this seasonal transition is mirrored in our clients’ desires. Many are seeking a refresh – not always a complete transformation, but often a thoughtful reimagining of selected areas within their homes. It feels like the perfect moment to introduce a new chapter into a space, to subtly shift its atmosphere and bring in a sense of lightness and clarity. What’s been particularly exciting is seeing how current interior trends are aligning with this mindset. There is a clear return to personality and colour – a confidence in making bolder decisions, in embracing character rather than restraint. We’re also seeing a renewed appreciation for classic and traditional influences, layered in a way that feels contemporary yet rooted. It’s inspiring, and we’re absolutely embracing it.

What continues to drive us forward is, as always, our clients. We’re currently beginning and developing projects across Marbella, Sweden, Greece, and Portugal – each one entirely distinct, shaped by its context, its architecture, and the individuals behind it. This diversity is what keeps the work so engaging. No two projects ever ask the same questions of us, and that constant evolution is something we truly value. At the same time, it’s impossible not to feel the weight of the broader world. The current global climate brings with it a sense of sadness and reflection – a reminder of how interconnected everything is, and how deeply these dynamics affect us all. Within the studio, we hold space for that awareness while continuing to move forward with intention. There is a quiet strength in staying grounded, in keeping our team engaged, thoughtful, and graceful in the way we work and collaborate. And always, there remains a sense of hope – that solutions, however complex, will emerge with time.

Looking ahead, the coming months feel both full and energising. We’re excited to continue sharing more of our journey through these blog posts, to deepen our collaborations with new and incredibly talented artisans and suppliers, and to immerse ourselves once again in Milan during Salone. As always, it’s a balance – juggling the many layers of design, creativity, and growth – but it’s precisely this rhythm that makes the process so rewarding. There’s a sense of momentum building, but it feels measured, intentional and deeply connected to everything we value. And that, more than anything, is what continues to inspire us.
